How we document & verify listings
Our tiers (A: Confirmed on official source · B: Business-attested · C: Community-reported) describe where information came from — they are NOT a certification, ours or anyone else’s. We report specific provisions and let you judge.
Attributes come first from the venue’s own accessibility or program pages. Certification lists published by organisations such as KultureCity and IBCCES are used as leads only — every attribute is re-confirmed on the venue’s own page before it is marked Tier A, and certifications a venue holds are named as facts about the venue, never as our badge.
Tier A means the attribute appears on the business’s own official page, with the URL captured. Tier B means the business claimed its listing and attested to each attribute; attestations lapse after six months and then display as "verification expired" until renewed. Tier C is a dated report from a parent or visitor, labelled as community-reported, and it is never upgraded without the business or an official source confirming it.
Quiet hours and scheduled programs are the most perishable facts on this site, so they carry the shortest re-check cycle: quarterly for programs and hours, twice a year for static provisions. Seasonal pages — sensory Santa, Easter Bunny, Halloween events — are re-verified every year before they are published, and taken down rather than left stale.
The rules that never bend
- Every niche claim on a listing carries a named source and a date. No source, no claim — the page shows the gap and what to ask instead.
- Verification tiers describe where information came from. They are never sold, and paying for featured placement never changes a tier.
- Tiers expire without re-confirmation, and an expired tier is shown as expired.
- Corrections are logged publicly on the listing itself. Spotted something wrong? Report a change.
Disclaimer
Sensory provisions, quiet hours, and programs change without notice. Information here is sourced and dated, but always confirm with the venue before visiting — especially before travelling for a scheduled sensory program.
